Dog Friendly Places in the Hills

The region of Mundaring is best known as the Heart of the Perth Hills. It offers amazing trails, spectacular State forests, arts, history, and culture – all within a 40-minute drive from Perth city.

The villages are steeped in a rich history, closely linked by the old railway line that is now the fabulous Railway Reserves Heritage Trail stretching some 59kms through the shire. The amazing engineering feat that is the Mundaring Weir with the water pipeline to the Eastern Goldfields region is also here.

Enjoy our local attractions, visit an art gallery, take a nature walk, or enjoy a picnic in one of our scenic BBQ areas. Whether it’s a day trip or if you decide to stay a bit longer, there are plenty of things to do. You will also find a fantastic range of cafesrestaurantspubs, and wineries in Mundaring.
